Admission Policy

 

1. Admission
All candidates must complete the application form / or Online application form and return it to the IIMT, together with the following:
1. Fourteen passport size photograph
2. Copy of the valid Passport with photo page and personal details / ID Card
3. 03 set of attasted Photocopies of all relevant qualifications
4. Experience Certificate, where applicable, of work experience
5. Non refundable registration fee of Rs. 1000.00

Note: Giving false information or forged documents will invalidate your admission and / or registration.

2. Registration & Enrolment
Students must pay at least 50% of the tuition fees, to enrol for a specific course / programme. Course / programme fees may be paid by instalments at the discretion of IIMT (Institute of Integrated Management & Technology). There will be a charge for this facility. International students and students applying for short courses (courses running less than five months) are not normally eligible for this facility.

3. Attendance
Students are required to maintain attendance up to 75% of all lectures, tutorials and practical sessions. Students must take all tests and submit assignments set by their tutors. Failure to adhere to these guidelines/deadlines may cause the student liable to certain penalties, such as re-sits, which may in turn affect the student's duration of studies, fees, completion, etc. A medical certificate is required if there are more than three days’ consecutive absence owing to illness. Students must inform the Institute of any change to their address, email and / or telephone number.

4. Deferments/Changes
No course / programme changes or deferments can be authorised after international students have been granted a visa. Any variation to their student status will be notified to the Immigration authorities in the INDIA and the visa issuing authority. International students not yet in the India wishing to transfer their course / programme from one term to another due to extenuating circumstances acceptable to the Institute may do so, but a notice of two weeks prior to the start of the term is required. There is an administration fee of Rs. 10,000/- for this service. After the start of the term one term's tuition fee would be charged. International students in the India cannot be considered for extenuating circumstances until they leave the India. The IIMT reserves the right to refuse acceptance of any extenuating circumstances.

5. Non-arrival or non-attendance
After the commencement of the course/programme, students not reporting at the Institute or failing to inform the Institute of their visa application status will be reported to the visa-issuing authorities as no longer having a place on the course / programme.

6. Course / Programme Alteration
IIMT reserves the right to alter dates, fees and any particulars in the brochure / prospectus with or without prior notice.

7. Liability
IIMT accepts no legal liability in the case of accidents, illness, loss of or damage to personal effects and mail. Students will be asked to pay for any damage they cause to the premises and / or property of the Institute or accommodation arranged by the Institute.

8. Conduct
IIMT reserves the right to expel any student for improper conduct or any conduct that interferes with the well-being of other students, staff or the reputation of the Institute.

9. Professional Membership / External Examinations
Students are responsible for applying and registering with the relevant academic or professional bodies, where applicable, and to enter for any external examinations. Exception to this is where such registration and external examination has been advertised as part of the responsibility of the Institute.

10. Hours of Tuition
International students who are in the India on a student visa are required by law to enrol on a full-time weekday’s course / programme of at least 15-18 hours a week. Attendance at IIMT is a compulsory 15-18 hours of formal daytime tuition each week. Students are required to attend tutorial sessions and will be given work to be completed in their own time. They must also comply with all other immigration regulations and laws.

11. Refund
In the event of refusal of a visa, tuition fees will be refunded (not the registration and administration fees) provided that all original documents issued by the Institute (acceptance/enrolment letter, receipts), proof of rejection of student visa (a letter issued by the Indian Embassy / High Commission Authorities, confirming the refusal of visa/entry) and photocopies of all the pages of the passport are returned to the Institute. All refunds will be made in INR Sterling.


REGISTRATION FEE: Registration fee is non-refundable.

TUITION FEES: In order to claim a refund of tuition fees the student or sponsor must meet the following conditions:

1. Advise the IIMT Administrator in writing of withdrawal from the course / programme four weeks before the start date of the
course/programme on the advertised start date or within a reasonable period thereafter.

2. Complete and return the Refund Application form along with Student Card and other School property, including all original documentation issued by the Institute.

3. International students or their sponsors must return all original documents issued by the Institute (acceptance / enrolment letter, receipts etc) which were issued by the IIMT and proof of rejection of student visa (a letter issued by the Indian Embassy / High Commission or Indian Immigration Authorities, confirming the refusal of visa / entry) and photocopies of all the pages of passport.

Refunds will be calculated as follows:

Full refund: A full refund of tuition fees will be made if the Institute is unable to offer an advertised course/programme.

Home (based in the India): From the tuition fees paid Rs. 7500/- (administration charge) will be retained by the Institute and the balance of the fees paid will be refunded if they meet conditions (1 and 2 of refund clause) set out above, and the Institute must be satisfied that the student has not taken any advantage of Institute's documents and references. This includes the arrival into, or extension of stay in, the India, Council Tax and other benefits or services.

International students (not based in the India): Tuition fees will be refunded after deduction of $ 250.00 for administration cost only after they meet conditions (1, 2 and 3 of refund clause) stated above. Should the student wish to appeal against an entry clearance / visa decision, the institute will provide documentation for the next available session at no extra cost if the
student / sponsor does not apply for a refund.
No refund will be made if the student or sponsor has not met the conditions set out above or the student is required by the Home Office to leave the India because of non-attendance or poor-attendance or because of any breach of the law.

12. Examination
Students are entered for examinations only if their attendance is not less than 75% of all lectures, tutorials and practical sessions. Though the institute informs, advises and assists students in examination entry procedure, it is entirely the student’s responsibility to register with the professional bodies as Student Members and to register for examinations in time. All examination fees and student membership fees must be paid by the student except in the case where this has been advertised as a responsibility of the school.

13. Fees
Students must agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions and Fees policy stated below. This information is updated from time to time and is available on request. The fees for students attending the Institute are detailed on the brochure/prospectus of each course / programme.

The fees can be paid by the following persons:-
1. An employer or other recognised sponsor
2. Local Council / Student Loans Agency
3. Student or his / her family or relative


All students must enrol at the start of their course/programme, at that time they must either provide an acceptable written guarantee from an official sponsor accepting responsibility for all fees due, or make full payment of their fees and any registration fees for the academic year concerned, or opt to pay by Instalments. The IIMT will only accept student enrolments upon receipt of the relevant payments or written guarantee from an official sponsor. Instalments are due at the beginning of each month or as stated in the fees statement. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure that the Institute receives payments by the due date irrespective of whether a reminder has been issued. A penalty charge of Rs. 1500.00 per month will be applied for late payments. Those whose funding will come from outside the India should apply immediately for the necessary transfer of funds. The Institute will not agree to the delayed payment of fees because of exchange control issues or their agent / consultant holding fees failed to transfer. It is the responsibility / duty of student to arrange fees before joining the course / programme. The Institute reserves the right to accept a sponsor's guarantee. In a case where the guarantee is not acceptable, it is the student's responsibility to pay his/her fees in line with the school’s Admission Procedure. Students who are on full time course / programmes lasting more than five months and are financing themselves may pay their tuition fees in a single payment at the time of enrolment or by Instalments. 

SINGLE PAYMENT: This should be paid within 10 days of the course/programme start date, unless payment by instalments has been agreed. If whole fees are not paid within 10 days of the start date of the course/programme or other notified date, the student will incur additional charges as detailed below.

PAYMENT BY INSTALMENTS:
Students who are on full-time course/programmes lasting more than five (05) months may pay by monthly / quarterly instalments. An additional charge will be added to the tuition fees as mentioned in prospectus.

LATE PAYMENT CHARGES/ REJECTED TRANSACTIONS
A penalty charge ofRs. 1500/- per month will be applied for late payments. The Institute may not accept any reason for delayed payment. Any transactions rejected by the bank will be classified as late payment. The penalty charge will be applied in all instances where payment has not been received by the IIMT on the instalment due date.

14. OUTSTANDING LIABILITIES
The Institute will initiate the recovery of all outstanding fees or property at the earliest practicable date after the liability has incurred. However, if a student still owes any fees (e.g. tuition fees) or is yet to replace, or reimburse the institute for, property lost or damaged by her/him, admission to the course / programme will be refused after informal notice until the debt is discharged in full.

These terms & conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable Laws of India and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Indian courts.

16. EXCEPTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS
At the discretion of the Institute, special arrangements can be made where exceptional / extenuating circumstances apply.
